Playing Doom 2 or Quake 1 on Symbian S60 devices
April 11, 2007 by Dario Soltani
This guy is playing Doom 2 on his Nokia N70. The N70 and the N90 both run S60 3rd edition. That means you’ll be able to play this on the N95 aswell. Click read more to watch Quake 1 in action.

ITS MEEEEEH!!! heheheheheh and i can tell you it runs very smooth, quake doesnt have sound but we cant blame anyone as the guy that made the emulator already did very very good, both the games use the actual PC games main files (.WAD for doom and Pak0.pak for quake)
i dont personally know the n90, but having a higher number i believe its a better phone :p, if i’m not mistaken it also uses a more recent version of Symbian.
hehe neat man! Awsome videos. Where can I get the games and the emulator?
http://nwitech.homeip.net/products
there you will find the quake files, including the quake shareware version in case you dont have the full version

here you can find the doom emulator, its not free so you can try the core version.
for DOOM you need to have the actual game, because you cant download it (legally anyway ;)from anywhere.
Great, thanks alot Biff! I’m sure my readers will enjoy your links. I’d love to get more tips on cool stuff if you have any!
hehe no probs, i’ll report on any findings i… err find… in the future
Please, i am having trouble getting started installing quake on my n95, Can anyone point me in the right direction to put these types of games on my phone?? So far i have the pak0.pak file, and i have a few zip files that are ‘Quake 1 prealpha for nokia s60 3rd edition’. Dunno, i MAY already have the correct files, i know i have to put an autoexec file in an ‘id1′ folder on the memory card. Do i make a id1 folder myself? or an i missing a first crutial step? plz help me!!! PS http://nwitech.homeip.net/products ALWAYS times out, maybe its flooded with -frag hungry, High-end mobile Noobz like me ….
I’d love to help you PostGhost but I have no idea. I haven’t tried to install those packs myself yet
