I’m having vacation and the iPhone is coming up
June 12, 2007 by Dario Soltani
Hey everybody. I’m sorry I haven’t been as active as I used to be on dario.soltani.se writing new posts, but I’ve been busy developing the stuff happening in the background on simplysymbian.com
Good news is I started my vacation this Monday so I have loads of time to develop AND write articles.
As you all probably already know, the Apple iPhone is to be released the 29th of June (at least in US, Europe have to wait until November – December). The iPhone is of course not a Symbian phone, but I choose to write about it anyway, as I (and Nokia officials too!) belive it will be a door opener for the mobile market. When people discover the easy-to-use iPhone they will be more eager to buy smartphones. I also believe other developers will use some of the ideas found in the iPhone in their own brands, making the smartphones of tomorrow even more smarter.
All in all, the iPhone is good for the market. The phone itself lacks everything I look for in a phone, except for one thing – a user friendly OS supporting MT (multi-touch). Look for yourself, here’s the technical specs and some video-ads:
