Tibia Micro Edition, the first MMORPG for mobile phones.

Tibia Micro Edition (TibiaME) is the first massive multiplayer online role-playing game for mobile phones. Come together with hundreds of players and experience adventures in a colourful virtual world! Along with your friends you explore the mysterious land of Tibia, fight your way through hordes of evil creatures and solve ancient riddles to find untold treasures. With every monster you defeat you will grow in strength and power. TibiaME is based on the successful online role-playing PC game Tibia which attracts thousands of players every day and one of the oldest and most successful online role playing games in Europe.
Dark forces threaten the peaceful people of Aurea, a little island located close to the rim of the Tibian ocean. Duke Bandomir, the island’s ruler, has called on all the heroes of Tibia to aid his people
in their struggle.

In the colourful real-time fantasy world of TibiaME, hundreds of players can set forth together in search of virtual adventure. Acting as warriors or wizards, they will be faced with the challenge of developing the skills of their selected characters, exploring a large variety of areas, unravelling secrets and interacting with other players on a social and diplomatic level.

TibiaME is especially popular in Eastern Europe (e.g. Russia) and in the Far East, for example in Indonesia. Currently the game is available in two languages (English and German). It runs on all Series 60 mobile phones as well as on Java/MIDP 2.0 - enabled handsets.
The game client can be downloaded in our software section both the free client and the gold version.
During the game the mobile phone is connected with the central TibiaME game server. The game is optimised for mobile communication via GPRS/UMTS. On average, no more than about 400 KB of data are transmitted per playing hour.
Resulting connection charges are calculated by the respective mobile carriers according to the used tariff.
Users can abort running games at any point of time and continue playing from where they left off later on.
TibiaME has been released as early as 2002. To this day, it is continually being improved. Also, ported versions are being developed for the latest generations of mobile phones.
The following requirements have to be met to install and play Tibia on your mobile phone:
- You need a Series 60 mobile phone (e.g. Nokia 7650, Nokia 3650, Nokia N-Gage, Nokia 6600, Siemens SX1, usw.).
- You need 680 kbytes free memory space on your mobile. The download size is 190 kbytes.
- You need a functional access point for internet connections installed on your mobile.
The following eleven steps explain how to install Tibia on your mobile phone:
- Open the application "Services" to start the WAP browser.
- Create a bookmark for TibiaME with the option "Add bookmark". The address is http://wap.tibiame.com. Afterwards load the bookmark.
- After the start page has been loaded, choose your language.
- In the main menu open "Download".
- Open "Tibia Micro Edition" to start the download of Tibia. Please wait until the download process is complete. This may take several minutes.
- Right after the download confirm the security warning with "Yes".
- Start the installation with "Yes".
- Select "Install" to continue with the installation process.
- Read the terms of use and Select "OK" if you agree with them.
- Afer the installation is finished select "Exit" to close the WAP browser.
- Now you can start Tibia by selecting "Tibia" in the main menu.
