Truphone wins in court against T-Mobile blocking VOIP

July 18, 2007

I’ve written earlier about Truphone’s lawsuit against Vodafone for blocking access to VOIP services. Truphone now wins a succesful lawsuit in a similiar case against T-mobile.

Competition in the mobile telephony sector intensified today when a judge granted a mandatory injunction forcing T-Mobile (UK) Ltd to interconnect with Truphone, which provides a low-cost internet telephony service on mobile phones.

Core information

  1. T-Mobile was instructed by the judge to stop blocking and begin routing calls to Truphone numbers by Monday 23rd July.
  2. Today’s ruling is the first time that interim relief has been awarded against a mobile network operator under the Competition Act.
  3. Full details of both sides’ skeleton legal arguments are available [see links below]. The judgment is expected to be available electronically tomorrow [Tuesday July 17th].

Computers attacking Nokia N95 users?

July 18, 2007

More and more reports are coming in on laptops attacking Symbian S60 users. It seems the computers are jealous on the new mobile devices enabling users to carry mini-computers in their pockets, as well as GPS positioning, making calls and send texts. More information can be found at jealouscomputers.com.

More photoshopped(?) Nokia N95 8Gb pics

July 18, 2007

Found some more images on the black Nokia N95 8Gb Edition. Will Nokia release this together with the coming N81 and N82? Both devices are to ship on Q4 2007 or Q1 2008 and rumored to have 8Gb memory capacity. I’ve written about this model earlier here, here and here.

One thing is worrying with these pictures, photoshopped or not, why are the keys not colored?

July 18, 2007

Found this demo-video featuring Fifa 2007 running on a N95. Thing’s look pretty good. Anyone heard anything of a coming Nokia NX(?), N100 or Nokia X?
