Nokia Q3 2007 report looks strong

Nokia published their Q3 (July-September) report. Net profits raised 85% compared to the same period last year, Net sales increased 28%, global market share raised from 36% to 39%. Nokia sold almost 111 million devices, where 16 million where converged devices (smartphones running S60).
Nokia sales increased dramatically 30% in Europa and 42% In the Middle East and Africa region. I North America however, the sales dropped with ~10% and in China, the growth has been merely 19% - the problem being lost valutaintäkter rather than market shares. The rest of Asia, India included, has experienced a net sales increase of 32% and South America 27%.
"It is not the traditional competition such as Motorola and Samsung that worries me, but the new companies such as Rim and Apple", CEO of Nokia Oli-Pekka Kallasvuo.
