Nokia Touch prototype?

 Nokia Touch prototype?

Found this pretty cool image (or is it a designers concept?) on something supposed to be a Nokia N96. I personally don’t think this is a genuine Nokia design, as it’s just to far out and the specifications are somewhat childish (note the 10GB memory where a 16GB would make much more sense).

However the design contains several interesting details, such as the slide out full QWERTY keyboard and what I believe is a touchscreen. Nokia announced their new S60 Touch interface will have both touchscreen, full QWERTY and stylus support.
The camera (read more for pictures) seems to have a built in optical
zoom, which should really drain batteries but be quite cool anyway icon smile Nokia Touch prototype?

The device specifications:

  • Measures 102.5×56x17.6 mm and 115 grams in weight.
  • Internal memory 10 GB (16GB is more likely)
  • 3.2 inch screen (sure but what about the resolution?)
  • Connectivity 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, Mini USB 2.0 and infrared (this is just lame, why use infrared when you have Bluetooth?)
  • Integrated QWERTY keyboard.
  • Integrated 6mpx camera with Carl Zeiss optics and optic zoom?
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • 4.0 Sound – four integrated speakers (not likely outside of China)
  • TV & FM Radio
  • Integrated GPS
  • Touch Panel in the joystick navigation
  • Position sensor
