Updated firmware for Nokia N95 8GB, full YouTube and Flash lite 3.0
January 4, 2008 by Dario Soltani

Nokia released a big firmware update for the Nokia N95 8GB. The firmware is numbered v15.0.015 and is available from Nokia Software Update for users with the EURO1 product code to begin with (availability depends on your product code, which depends on your region and operator branding). As usual, you’ll find instructions on how to change product code and make the update here OR you could just wait until the update reaches your region and/or brand.
Here’s a list of some changes:
- Speed! Everything works faster and smoother! Seems Nokia has improved how the phone handles the built-in flash memory.
- Booting is now about 20% faster.
- Lots of ‘old’ themes are now working.
- Gallery and Search are also faster as they’re kept in memory even after hitting ‘Exit’.
- Flash Lite 3.0 is now fully supported which means you can watch flash video content (such as YouTube, Google video or Dailymotion). Powerusers still would do better with emTube though.
- Web Run Time (WRT) has been added to support Nokia’s new Widget platform.
What else? Please share any changes that I’ve missed here.
