KuneriLiteCommercial Developers, use accelerometer in your Flash Lite projects

Kuneri, a Flash Lite company based in Oulu, Finland unveiled their innovative product, KuneriLite 0.9.4. KuneriLite is basically a development toolkit for Flash Lite developers. With it you can create cross platform applications using Flash Lite technology without any Symbian programming knowledge. Yada yada yada huh? Wrong, because Kuneri also made a set of powerful plugins which truly unleash the power of Flash Lite to your phone.

We’re talking about some really cool stuff here, how about:
  • Accelerometer plugin
  • Camera plugin
  • Connect plugin
  • Download plugin
  • DTMF plugin
  • File plugin
  • GPS plugin
  • Rotate plugin
  • Simple protection plugin
  • Timer plugin
  • Upload/Download plugin

"We have been developing for S60 platform for a long time and see the potential of Flash Lite very clearly" says Ugur Kaner, CEO of the Finnish company. "We see a gap between strength and user experience in mobile development, and aim to help developers to close this gap by using our tool. We believe KuneriLite will be very popular among developers, as it is very easy to use and learn, and leads to impressing results; bringing imagination into concrete in shorter time. We believe that, because we are mobile developers ourselves and understand developers’ needs very well as insiders. We also had a long alpha testing period and feedback we received supports our belief."

KuneriLite comes with 3 editions: Basic, Professional and Commercial. Basic edition is free to download and try. Professional edition meant for freeware productions, and also offered free of charge for non-commercial purposes. Commercial edition is offered for commercial projects and has "a very developer friendly license and price".

Visit kunerilite.net for downloads and further instructions on how to get started.

UIQ wants YOU to deliver applications!

December 3, 2007

uiqwants UIQ wants YOU to deliver applications!UIQ wants YOU to start developing tomorrows killer applications using their platform and they want to help you do that. In order to do so, they’ll published a book called ‘UIQ 3: The Complete Guide’ early in 2008. Having some experience myself with Symbian development (I had problems even compiling the hello world code!) I realize this is great news! Not only will they publish the book, but the full content will be put online as a wiki. Users will be able to contribute with new material and corrections for further editions of the book. The book will also be published in Chinese in the future and the Symbian people told me Carbide.C++ v1.2 will make life easier.

The book/wiki is aimed to help both experienced and inexperienced C++ programmers to get started with and port their applications to the UIQ platform.

You’ll find the wiki at books.uiq.com
