I’m having vacation and the iPhone is coming up
June 12, 2007
Hey everybody. I’m sorry I haven’t been as active as I used to be on dario.soltani.se writing new posts, but I’ve been busy developing the stuff happening in the background on simplysymbian.com
Good news is I started my vacation this Monday so I have loads of time to develop AND write articles.
As you all probably already know, the Apple iPhone is to be released the 29th of June (at least in US, Europe have to wait until November – December). The iPhone is of course not a Symbian phone, but I choose to write about it anyway, as I (and Nokia officials too!) belive it will be a door opener for the mobile market. When people discover the easy-to-use iPhone they will be more eager to buy smartphones. I also believe other developers will use some of the ideas found in the iPhone in their own brands, making the smartphones of tomorrow even more smarter.
All in all, the iPhone is good for the market. The phone itself lacks everything I look for in a phone, except for one thing – a user friendly OS supporting MT (multi-touch). Look for yourself, here’s the technical specs and some video-ads: [Read more]
New site announced
June 1, 2007
Last week has been very hectic for me as I decided to register this DNS and relaunch my Nokia N95 blog to something hopefully more ambitious. My former blog (http://dario.soltani.se) was growing beyond it’s purpose which mainly consisted of writing about the Nokia N95 before it was launched.
As time went by I felt more and more comfortable using Wordpress and I was never really happy with the former layout. So here we are, welcome to simplysymbian.com!
Here I’m hoping to continue covering the Nokia N95 as well as other interesting symbian devices and new technology.
Redesigning the site
May 25, 2007
I’m re-designing the site. Please bare with the problems. Everything is on hold right now because of this. I’ll release the new site soon. In the meantime, enjoy the information that’s already here.
Away this week in Arvidsjaur
May 7, 2007
Just wanted to say I’m sorry on the lack of updates. I’m in Arvidsjaur, a small village in northern Sweden maybe most famous for the excessive winter testing of cars. The village rooms about 3000 test drivers every winter (according to my taxi driver) and is of course full of top secret car models that still haven’t reached the market).
I’m here recruiting a manager for the Swedish labour market agency and will hopefully fly home tomorrow morning. Arvidsjaur has 4,700 inhabitants. It is located about 110 kilometers south of the Arctic circle, in the middle of the historical province called Swedish Lapland. -Wikipedia
